Lone Buffalo

I did not learn until after I did this painting that buffalo bulls often stay away from the herd and are alone until spring. On a very cold Oklahoma day, the wind chill is really harsh, and bites to the bone. I could only imagine what this bull might feel like out on the plains, scavenging for a bit of vegetation in that harsh winter wind.

Finished!

Here is the finished painting. I love the way the rocks turned out. Much better than the toilet paper look! LOL

Work in Progress

I started this last night, and decided the rocks I am planning on painting in the foreground could use some texture, so I textured over my basic rock shapes, and I'll finish those tonight. It's hard to leave a painting unfinished for me, which is why I use acrylics. Instant gratification!

Woody's Dream Job

If my husband could work where he wanted to, this is what his place of employment would look like!

Old West Ghost Town

Inspired by a Spaghetti Western, this painting reflects my love of all things Old West.

Longhorn Grazing

Another mural I painted. This one is on a powder room wall in a cowboy style home.

Los Charros

This mural is one of my favorite projects! That's my beautiful palomino depicted in this work. :)

Sweet Pea

This is a portrait of my mother's precious blind pet guinea, Sweet Pea. She was a unique and wonderful creature.
